GMAW, MCAW & FCAW electrodes ALL have a process of post-finish applied to them at the final stage of manufacturing. Always do everything possible to maintain this coating as it establishes the electrode’s operational attributes. Proper electrode handling is crucial, and NEVER use wire cleaning clips or pads when executing this process.
